The Donation Room To Open May 26
New Donation Polices:
- Donated items must be in a sealed box or hung on hangers in an airtight bag.
- All incoming donations will be kept sealed and placed in a separate storage area for a period of time before the donations are processed.
- Donation pick ups are being scheduled, but items must be placed outside of the home for pick up.
- Donation drop offs will resume on May 26th and donors can bring their items to the hallway outside of the Donation Room.
If you need to schedule a donation pickup, please call the Nearly New Shop and leave a message with your contact information and items to be picked up.

In an effort to streamline the efficiency of our intake and processing room, we ask that you include an itemized list with your donations. A printable version of the itemized list template can be found below.
Make a Donation!
Year-round, the Nearly New Shop accepts donations of gently-used clothing, furniture, household items, books, toys, jewelry, accessories, shoes, and other goods. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
The Nearly New Shop will provide an itemized donation receipt to be used for tax purposes. You may claim tax deductions for donated clothing and household items in good, used condition or better. The amount of your charitable contribution is generally the Fair Market Value of the property at the time of the contribution.
Please have CLEAN clothing on hangers or folded in boxes. We cannot stack bags, and wrinkled clothes are not as valuable as un-wrinkled clothes. Also, please do not send broken household items or electronics that do not work. We cannot sell them and they have zero tax value.

Free Pick-Up and Store Drop-Off.
For the easiest access, please park on the north side of the Mall and use the side entrance under the little green awning. Use your cell phone to call the store for assistance and a rolling rack or cart to help unload your donation.
Need free pick-up? Just call us at (502) 454-6633 to arrange a convenient time with our driver. You may also send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to make a request. Pick-ups must be scheduled 2-3 weeks in advance. Donation pick ups can not be scheduled the week of. Driver reserves the right to refuse any unsaleable items.
We have selected zip codes in which we will do free pick ups. They are 40204, 05, 06 and 07; 40218, 20, 22 and 23; 40241, 42, 43 and 45; and 40059.
